Studying for the Canadian Citizenship Test

To qualify to apply for Canadian Citizenship, you have to show that you have met the requirements, namely that you have been physically present in Canada for at least 1,095 days (3 years) during the 5 years before the date you sign your citizenship application.

You can find the comprehensive guide for Application for Canadian Citizenship here.

After your application has been received and is being processed by IRCC (Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada), you will receive an invitation to write the Citizenship Test.

Studying for the test

The test is based on the Discover Canada study guide made available by IRCC. You can find and download various formats of the study guide here.

The best way to study for the test is to use library resources, as the questions presented in these resources are the closest to those on the citizenship test. The library resources are also free.
