Registering Your Dependent's Immunization Records with Region of Peel

The Region of Peel (Ontario) requires you to register your dependent's immunization records before they are able to be accepted to public school.

Since you may already have these records in paper or electronic form from your home country, you will be required to share this information with the Region of Peel via their website.

What you will need:

  • OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) card

  • A computer with internet

Steps:

  1. Access the Region of Peel's health site: https://peel.icon.ehealthontario.ca/#!/welcome

  2. Click the Get Started! button

  3. Since you're about to start registering the dependent's immunization records, click the Verify with Health Card Number option

  4. Enter the dependent's immunization records into the Peel database

  5. You will be given the option to upload the electronic form of the immunization records you have from your home country; this way, Peel will be able to verify the information you have entered into their database

  6. Click Save; you will be able to download a confirmation document with a Peel immunization reference number that you can send to the public school

  7. The next time you access Region of Peel's immunization site, you will be given the option to save a PIN and provide an email address

  8. You will then be given a unique Immunization ID that you can use to access and update the dependent's immunization records going forward.
